It is because they were "good" and God knew that we would sin here in a fallen world (mortality), that He sent His Son to die for us... so that we might be redeemed from that Fall.

If God saw that "these souls were good" then why was Christ sent to die for the sins of all mankind?

LDS Nana,
Thank you once again for teaching a principle that, if understood more fully and correctly, would change the world.

The power that we are given as Children of a Heavenly Father rests in knowing who we are and what our divine heritage is. This knowledge helps us overcome temptation and live up to the potential that each of us has been given.

Although I do not have grandchildren at this point in my life, I labor diligently to teach my children and other children this very important principle because I have a strong conviction that it is the way to happiness.

When I become a grandparent, teaching this principle to my own grandchildren will be on my list as well

When I was growing up, I loved hearing stories from my grandparents about my pioneer heritage. (All of my GG-Grandparents joined the church in the 1830s and 1840s.) I taught my children about our ancestors, and now I'm starting to tell my grandchildren. Thanks for the reminder!

There really is an identity crises in this country, and way to often it is not dealt with early enough in life. I think you are right that grandparents need to address this part of their grandchildrens lives ! to help ground them and give them a since of how and where they fit in.
